A reading of "The Christmas Carol"

Hi all, it's Sarah and Coral!!

Today we read two versions of "The Christmas Carol", the experience was informative as the two scripts were written in different contexts as they were contrasting. The first script was the more lighthearted of the two as it put a comical spin on the darkness of Charles Dickens' tale. Whereas the second script stuck firmly with Dickens' story, as it dove into a deeper depth of why Scrooge was the way he was and the aftermath of his behaviour, resulting in his lonely life.

The session of reading was really helpful at looking how playwrights can take a different slant on a classic such as "The Christmas Carol".

My first blog

Today we had our first movement class, where we learnt a small contemporary piece. It was interesting as it gave me a taster of what we will be doing within the course this year. I came to the conclusion that I need to get a bit fiiter though.
